Family Circle Cup Update!

Volkl player Stefanie Voegele made it to the Semifinals at the Family Circle Cup!! To get there she dominated #10 ranked Caroline Wozniacki in the quarterfinals. She then played Jelena Jankovic in the semis! Even though she lost in the semifinals it was her first semifinal at a WTA premiere event! While Stefi made it to semifinals, other Volkl player Liezel Huber made it to the Womens Doubles Final! It was a very close game being 6-3 7-6(6).

BNP Huber Contest!

Voegele wins first round at BNP Paribas Open!

Although Stefanie Voegele lost during the qualifiers at the BNP Paribas Open 2013, she was picked as a lucky loser and got to re enter the tournament! 

She then took advantage of her lucky loser status to the fullest as she defeated Petra Martic 4-6, 6-4 6-3 in the first round!

She now plays Nadia Petrova (ranked #10) in the Second Round. We expect great things for this match because Stefi has played her once before and defeated her!

Huber advances to Round 3!

Volkl player Liezel Huber and partner Maria Sanchez move on to Round 3 of Womens Doubles! They beat Xinyun Han and Yi-Miao Zhou of China and now play Silvia Espinosa & Carla Navarro of Spain. 

The spaniards are very low ranked in Womens doubles with Espinosa at 181 and Navarro at 136. With Huber and Sanchez ranked at number 6 for doubles, we think they will defeat them no problem!

Huber to win doubles?

The only Völkl player left in the Australian Open is Liezel Huber. With her doubles partner Maria Sanchez they rank number 8. Will they take it all the way?

They defeated Doi and Morita of Japan and move on to the second round of Womens Doubles.

Huber has won 5 Grand Slam titles in Womens Doubles and took 4th place at the 2012 Olympics. We're thinking it might be time for her to win another Australian Open in Womens Doubles. She first took an Aus Open win home in 2007. We wish her and her partner the best of luck in this next round!
